Pet Friendly Caravan Parks in South Australia
Southeast & Limestone Coast

Many people love to take their pets on holiday with them and it's often hard to know where you will be able to stay with them.  We look at the caravan parks in the Southeast of South Australia which allow pets- under certain conditions.   We also list its facilities and places of interest to visit during your stay.  There are also videos, where possible, of the parks and also of places of interest.

As conditions vary, you will need to contact the individual park and ask questions such as:

Are they a dog friendly caravan park only, or do they allow other pets, such as birds and cats?

In what kind of accommodation are pets allowed?  Many allow them only within your private tent or caravan, though a few may have special pet friendly cabins also.

When are pets allowed?  Some places only allow them in off peak times of the year.

Are there any special conditions you need to be aware of?

Places to Visit

Umpherston Sinkhole, also called the Sunken Garden, is a beautiful garden area created at the bottom of the sinkhole where the fertile topsoil now lies, after its collapse.

Cave Gardens sinkhole, located in the city centre, used to be the town water supply.  Today it's an attractive area where you can venture down onto suspended platforms to view the cave below... or view from above if you feel safer!  When there are heavy rains the runoff makes an impressive display as it tumbles into the sinkhole.

Kanawinka Global Geopark Australia: the geological past unfolds in this fascinating landscape.

Valley Lake Wildlife Park And Boardwalk: flora and fauna, playground and recreation area.

Mount Gambier Crater Lakes area, which are lakes formed in dormant volcano craters and includes Browne’s Lake, Valley Lake, Leg of Mutton Lake and the amazing Blue Lake.  There is also a bike trail through this area and the Blue Lake Rotary Lookout.

Dingley Dell Conservation Park: home of poet Adam Lindsay Gordon from 1864-1867 and now a museum.

Echo Farm: a restored rural property circa 1890.

The Old Courthouse located on Bay Road, still containing its original courtroom furniture, gives a glimpse into the regions criminal trial past.
